Our Team Members

Our staff members are all caring, highly trained, and experienced veterinary team members. Each of them brings unique characteristics to their jobs, which is why we are so proud of the work we do together. Add to that mix the caring clients and loving pets we serve, it's no wonder we love our profession.

Michal, LVT, Veterinary Technician

Mike, a graduate of LaGuardia College, has several years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. His expertise, knowledge, and attentiveness to his patients, make him the ideal person to work with the doctors in caring for your pets.

Lisa- Client Services Representative

Lisa has been with the Animal Medical Hospital since 1996 and has risen to a management role in our front office. Her compassion and dedication to our clients, their pets, and fellow staff members, sets an example for all our team members. Lisa, her husband and son, are "home grown" and have deep roots in our community, as do many of our staff members.

Nichelle- Client Services Representative

Nichelle graduated from Adelphi University with a degree in Communications and Anthropology. Nichelle's welcoming attitude and attentiveness help each client and their pet to feel comfortable and special the moment they walk into the clinic.

Sherrell Ryan, LVT, Veterinary Technician

Sherrell was born and raised in Hempstead N.Y. As a child, caring for animals has always been her passion. After graduating from Hempstead High School, she enrolled in the Veterinary Science Technology program at SUNY Canton. After graduating in May 2009, she received her licensure to practice as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in August of the same year. Now as a staff member of the Animal Medical Hospital, Sherrell looks forward to assist Dr. D. Wyler, associates, and staff in providing your pets with the excellent care they deserve.

Sharon- Client Services Representative

My name is Sharon. I live in the Flushing/Whitestone area, and have for my whole life. I always had pets growing up, and have a deep love for animals. I worked as a nanny for 6 years for a family with two little boys, and I loved it. I also am a certified paralegal, but my love for animals drove me in a different direction. I feel blessed working for Dr. Wyler. The atmosphere at the clinic is both upbeat and calming. It makes coming to work a joy. I am so happy to be a new member of the Whitestone Veterinary Care team.

Laura- Client Services Representative

My name is Laura. I'm originally from Colorado and moved to New York over 4 years ago. I was a math teacher for 3 years, but decided that my true passion is for animals, which is what brought me to the practice. I hope to go to vet school in a few years and am enjoying my experience working at both of Dr. Wyler's clinics.

I have always been an animal lover and have had dogs, cats, and ferrets as pets growing up. I currently have 2 adorable ferrets named Koda and Sage. They make me laugh every day, which is why I love them!!! I'm also looking into getting a cat in the near future.

Dayhanna- Veterinary Tech Assistant

I was born and raised in Queens, New York. Ever since I was a little girl I always loved playing, caring, nurturing sick and healthy. My entire life my ultimate passion was and still is animals. I'm currently in Bronx Community College finishing my last year to receive my Animal Care & Management Certificate. But I don't plan to stop there. I want to further my career one step at a time to one day have my own practice. I really do believe if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. The opportunity I was given to work in Whitestone Veterinary Care made me realize working with animals is what I plan to do as my full time career.

Courtney- Veterinary Tech Assistant

Courtney received her bachelors degree in Animal Science from Cornell University in 2009. She then spent a year and a half working on a horse farm just outside Ithaca, NY. Currently, Courtney is working with Dr. Wyler and associates to gain small animal veterinary experience and is planning on applying to veterinary school this coming fall.

Jenipher- Client Services Representative

Jenipher graduated from SUNY old westbury with a bachelors in business management in 2010. She currently attending Boces for pet grooming and veterinary assistance. She has two puppies, 11 month old brother and sister, Maltese/shih tzu mixes, RJ and Chula.

Daira- Veterinary Tech Assistant

Erica-Client Services Representative

Erica came to us during her summer internship for Veterinary Technology at SUNY Delhi. She now plays an important role as one of our knowledgeable Client Services Representatives. Her vivacious personality and engaging smile, help to make all of our clients and their pets feel comfortable when visiting our hospital.
